Stuffing Croutons

Repurpose leftover stuffing into a delicious, crunchy snack or topping for other dishes.

Stuffing Croutons Recipe

Ingredients
Left over bread stuffing
Olive oil

Directions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 F and lightly oil a baking sheet.

Step 2: Separate stuffing into bite-sized pieces. Toss cubes in a bowl with a light drizzle of olive oil. *Laurie’s Cooking Tip: I buy olive oil spray for cooking so I just sprayed the pieces with oil rather than toss them.

Step 3: Spread stuffing out in a single layer on the baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pieces.

Step 4: Bake for 10 minutes, then flip over pieces and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes. Check the croutons every 5 minutes for doneness. Baking time will vary with each variety of stuffing and the moisture level in the bread.

Step 5: When the croutons are dark brown, remove from oven and cool completely. Some will be crispy throughout and the large pieces will still be slightly soft on the inside.

*Laurie’s Serving Tip: Serve as a snack or a topping to salads, soups or whatever you choose. I served these in a tomato basil bisque and it was AMAZING!
