Sweet & Sour Cocktail Selection Recipe

Ingredients

1 20 oz. can of pineapple chunks (in pineapple juice)
1 lb. Lil’ Smokies cocktail weiners
1 32 oz. pkg. precooked meatballs
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. pineapple juice (drained from the canned pineapple chunks)
2 Tblsps. flour
1/4 c. white vinegar
2 Tblsps. soy sauce
2 tsps. dry mustard

Directions
Step 1: Drain pineapple juice from the canned fruit into a measuring cup to equal 1 cup. If there is not enough juice, fill remainer of cup with water.

Step 2: Mix pineapple juice, brown sugar, flour, vinegar, soy sauce, and mustard into a sauce paun and whisk. Bring to a slow simmer until the sauce begins to thicken.

Step 3: Layer the cocktail selection of pineapple, weiners and meatballs alternately in a crockpot into 2 layers of each. 

Step 4: Pour the sauce over the cocktail selection and turn on high for about 2 hours until all ingredients are heated through. If the guests aren’t arriving for several hours, it can be started and left on low. Keep on low or warm for the duration of your party or get toether. They stay good inthe crockpot for HOURS and even reheat the next day for a snack. Enjoy!

Laurie’s Serving Tip: I like to serve them or pass them around in a serving dish with toothpicks or small skewers so people can grab a bite at will.
